ENGLISH SPEAKING AND LISTENING – ONLINE
Develop your use of English in a wider range of everyday situations and build your confidence in speaking and listening.
Course content: Preparation for classroom based ESOL classes, connecting with others during isolation and improve wellbeing through language
When: Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10:00 – 12:00

CREATIVE CONFIDENCE – ONLINE
Uncover your creativity at home with our online arts and crafts course while socialising and connecting with new people.
Course content: Learn new arts and crafts techniques, connect with others and contribute towards a community project using your new skills.
When: Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00 – 13:00

COOKERY ON A BUDGET – ONLINE
Come along and cook with us from the comfort of your own home with our online cookery course while socialising and connecting with new people.
Course content: Explore the benefits of cookery for positive wellbeing while preparing and cooking cold and hot meals and demonstrate health, safety and food hygiene.
When: Monday and Friday from 13:00 – 16:00

STAYING WELL – ONLINE
Help build resilience to stress, anxiety and depression through positive psychology and develop coping strategies whilst living in isolation.
Course content: Develop mental and physical coping strategies, stay socially connected and learn and practice mindfulness techniques.

GARDENING – ONLINE
Get started with Gardening by learning make use of what little space you have in the home to grow fruit, vegetables and herbs while connecting with new people.
Course content: Benefits of gardening on wellbeing & learning new indoor/outdoor gardening techniques.

ESOL for Work – ONLINE
Learn English and prepare for the workplace with this specialist ‘English for Speakers of Other Languages’ course, which focusses on helping you to find a job
Course content: Combined English language and employability classes, help to understand the UK jobs market and input from local employers.
When: Monday, Wednesday & Friday from 10:00 – 12:00

Moving Towards Work – TEMPORARILY UNAVAILABLE
This course helps you to build your confidence, wellbeing and employability skills through ‘positive psychology’ after a period out of the workplace.
Course content: Confidence building, interactive sessions with businesses, support with next steps including volunteer opportunities.

When: Sessions run on Tuesdays and Wednesdays 09:30 – 12:30 for four weeks

Get Started with IT – TEMPORARILY UNAVAILABLE
This course starts completely ‘from scratch’, and teaches simple steps to help learners to use IT effectively to support them either in their personal lives or in their search for work.
Course content: Creating a document/ CV, email, the internet/ search engines, uploading and attaching documents and use of Google Drive.

When: Sessions run on Tuesdays and Fridays 09:45 – 12:45 for four weeks

LEIGHTON BUZZARD:

When: Sessions run on Wednesdays and Fridays, 13:00 – 16:00

BIGGLESWADE:

When: Sessions run on Mondays and Wednesdays 10:00 – 13:00 for four weeks

We are pleased to deliver our courses on behalf of Central Bedfordshire Council who provide us with the necessary funding.  Our courses are designed to help with well-being  and to support you in gaining skills which are relevant to the needs of employers in our  area.  The courses which we deliver are included in Central Bedfordshire Council’s  programme of courses which can be found here:
