Get Started with IT
This course starts from scratch with basic IT skills, helping learners to use IT as an effective tool in their personal lives or job search.
Course content: Creating a document, building a CV, sending and receiving emails, using the internet and search engines, uploading and attaching documents, and use of Google Drive.
When: Tuesday and Thursday from 09:30 – 12:30

This course helps you continue on your journey towards confidence with computers in a work setting.
Designed as a follow on from our Get Started with IT.
Course content: Participate in an online interview, learn how to use video conferencing applications, use more advanced applications like Excel and improve your work related skills.

Course content: Create or update a CV, interview practice with local employers, interview skills, action planning and goal setting, support to overcome obstacles, confidence building sessions.

Learn English and further your language with this specialist ‘English for Beginners’ course, which focuses on helping you start your English journey from basic English to functional English.
Course content: Beginners English language class for pre-entry learners who want to start their journey to being able to speak, listen, read and write English. Covering use of alphabet and pronunciation as well as basic form filling and conversation.

Community ESOL
Designed for learners with no/limited English knowledge who want to start bettering their pathway towards a better community life.
Course content: Practice conversational English, develop your skills to community within the community, learn how to complete basic forms and develop your knowledge of free community spaces and public transport.
When: 2 days a week, 3 hours per session
Meditation and Sound Café
Come converse in English with other learners while calming your mental state through sound and meditation.
Course content: Practice your spoken English, meet learners from other cultures and improve your conversational English skills.

Course content: Preparation for classroom based ESOL classes, connecting with others during isolation and improve wellbeing through language

Help build resilience to stress, anxiety and depression through positive psychology and develop coping strategies whilst living in isolation.
