NOAH Trustee Lord Bill McKenzie has passed away

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of NOAH’s longest-serving Trustee, Lord Bill McKenzie, who passed away yesterday morning.

Bill has been a stalwart supporter of NOAH for over 20 years. As a former Labour Councillor and Leader of the Council, Bill had great influence in Luton, and having worked in the Department for Communities and Local Government, and at Price Waterhouse, he brought immense expertise to NOAH.

As the Chair of the Board of Trustees at NOAH, Bill stepped back from his role in 2004 having been given a peerage. He served as NOAH’s treasurer from then on.

We will always think of him as a humble, thoughtful, kind and courageous man.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Bill and his loved ones at this time.
