Alleviating poverty, bringing hope

Fundraising for NOAH

Firstly, a big thank you for your interest in raising funds to support our work. By taking part in or organising your own fundraising activity you will be making a very valuable contribution to ending homelessness in Luton and Bedfordshire. The following gives some guidance on how you can get involved in fundraising.

Getting started

  1. Choosing your idea. The website is an excellent starting point for ideas and details of some of the legal requirements you may have to abide by if you are organising your own event (e.g. laws on raffles, public liability, etc.). The also has some good information on fundraising and the law.
  2. Contact us In person or by telephone or email, with a short summary of what you are planning so that we can support you in your efforts and provide you, if required, with sponsorship forms and other NOAH branded materials. We would be delighted to meet and speak with you.

Sponsored Events

Planning a sponsored event? Sponsorship can be a great way of raising funds and having some fun along the way.

Sponsorship Forms and Online Fundraising:

NOAH is registered with the two most popular online fundraising websites JustGiving and Virgin Money Giving. We can also provide you with traditional paper sponsorship forms for off-line fundraising. Contact us with your event details to request sponsorship forms or visit our Virgin Money Giving page and our JustGiving page for details of how to get started with online fundraising.

NEW! Captain Tom 100

Celebrate and join in with the spirit of Captain Sir Tom Moore, by taking on ‘Captain Tom 100’ for NOAH Enterprise during 30th April – 3rd May.

Captain Tom inspired the nation by sharing his hope for brighter days as he walked 100 laps of his garden, hoping to raise a small amount to help those on the frontline. His spirit, determination, and simple message ‘Tomorrow will be a good day’ touched our hearts as it brought light and comfort to many during the pandemic.

Help NOAH and ensure his legacy lives on and take part in Captain Tom 100, a challenge for everybody, anywhere and anytime and help us to continue our vital services and support to those that are homeless, on the brink of homelessness or suffering with severe poverty or chaos in Luton and Bedfordshire.

Captain Tom 100 is a challenge based around the number 100, and will raise funds for charities like NOAH, over Captain Tom’s birthday weekend. Friday 30th April would have been his 101st birthday weekend, and the challenge runs from then until Bank Holiday Monday on 3rd May.

Captain Tom walked 100 laps of his garden which raised £38.9m, including Gift Aid, and today marks one year on from the day he began these laps. We would like you to think up a challenge based around the number 100 and complete it anytime and anywhere over Captain Tom’s birthday weekend to raise funds for NOAH.

Everyone is encouraged to join in the Captain Tom 100 and ‘Do it Your Way’.

Suggested challenges include walking 100 steps or running 100 metres, doing 100 high fives, hula hooping 100 times, scoring 100 goals, baking 100 cup cakes, climbing 100 stairs, hopping 100 laps of the garden or park, writing a 100-word poem, or anything else in line with current government social distancing guidelines.

If you want to support us but don’t really want to do ‘100 things’, you can also donate directly to us via our website : NOAH Enterprise – JustGiving – thank you

Once you have chosen your Captain Tom 100 challenge, please tag us and share your own 100 challenge on social media, using @Noah_Luton on Twitter or NoahEnterprise on Facebook. Use the hashtag #CaptainTom100 – we would love to see your photos too!
